But it’s already framed, you say! Well, I love the frame but the original painting fell far from my expectations and needed to live up to my new standards and the lovely frame. I am working on it...not finished as of yet.
The painting is in reference to the Catalan fishing boats in Collioure, France. This particular boat in the foreground is painted from a photograph I took in 1995 during a visit to Collioure. The mountains and and background are inspired from the same photograph but not accurate in the photographic sense.
